CNA instructor, Pensacola
Are you ready to make a difference? If you want to truly affect people’s lives and not just earn a paycheck, this may be the job for you.
Express Training Services is looking for a part-time instructor to teach adult learners how to become nursing assistants (CNAs) and learn CPR. No prior knowledge is needed or necessarily even wanted. We’ll train you how to do everything.
Are you wondering what you will be teaching? Well, the CNA state exam consists of 2 parts. There is a written part with 60 multiple choice questions. There is also a practical portion where the state nurse will give the test-taker 5 skills to perform. Your job will be to cover that theory part of the exam and to teach the 22 possible skills upon which the student may be tested.
Sounds difficult, doesn’t it? Sometimes the students think so too. However, we’ve done this for over 8,000 students with over an 80% pass rate, and we’re confident in our class and curriculum.
Some of the basic job requirements:
- Enthusiasm-you might be doing the same job every week, but it’s all new to each student.
- Initiative-your bosses will be in Gainesville. When things need to be done, they need to be done.
- Ability to closely follow course curriculum without deviation
- Organizational ability-You have to keep track of some paperwork and money
The pay rate is $11/hour. Pay periods are 2 weeks and payday is every other Friday. There are no benefits.
The schedule is as follows:
- 1st and 3rd weeks of the month-Monday-Friday, 8-4
- 2nd and 4th weeks of the month-Tuesday and Thursday, 10-3
- Every other month, there will be 1 night class. Monday-Thursday, 2 weeks, 5 pm-10 pm
- This is a part-time position, and you will average 25 hours/week
This job requires a tremendous amount of independence and initiative. If you cannot do things by yourself, please do not apply. Additionally, you must be able to give your students a cell phone number for them to call if they have any questions.
Look over our web site and see what we offer. The “40-hour Exam Prep class” is what you’ll be teaching.
If you are interested, please email your resume and a cover letter to tony@expresstrainingservices.com. Every applicant will receive either an email or voice reply. If you don’t have a cell phone or smoke, please do not apply.
