CNA / HHA

Express Training Services offers several options if you want to become a CNA or an HHA. Your needs are what are important to us, so we offer different classes. The schedules may be adjusted to fit your needs; ask for more details. You can check class dates and times by clicking on the application for the class you would like to take.

We highly recommend the Nursing Assistant Exam Prep Class. It's cheaper and faster than the 120-hour program

40-hour Nursing Assistant Exam Prep Class Enroll for this class
Locations: Gainesville

Class times: Monday-Friday, 1 week, from 8am-4pm or Monday-Thursday, 2 weeks in a row, from 5pm-10pm.or 4 Saturdays in a row, from 8 am-5 pm

What is covered: This is a high-paced class designed to train people to take the State Certification Exam. It is not designed to train students to be CNAs, just to be prepared to take the state exam to become a CNA. We cover all material for the written exam, as well as all 22 skills. You will get hands-on experience in performing the skills, and are able to practice the skills during both regular and not regular class hours.

Cost: The cost for this class is $479. This price includes the class, the workbook, the exam registration fee, and a pair of scrubs.

40-hour Nursing Assistant Exam Prep Class Enroll for this class
Locations: Ft. Myers (Spanish), Ft. Myers, Lake City, Naples (Spanish), Naples, Ocala, Pensacola, Vero Beach

Class times: Monday-Friday, 1 week, from 8am-4pm
Monday-Thursday, 2 weeks in a row, from 5pm-10pm.

What is covered: This is a high-paced class designed to train people to take the State Certification Exam. It is not designed to train students to be CNAs, just to be prepared to take the state exam to become a CNA. We cover all material for the written exam, as well as all 22 skills. You will get hands-on experience in performing the skills, and are able to practice the skills during both regular and not regular class hours.

80-hour HHA certificate class Enroll for this class

Class times: Class times vary - see schedule. Both day and evening classes available.

What is covered: This state-approved program prepares students primarily for employment as home health aides. CPR certification must be obtained either before starting this program, or proof of registration in a Red Cross or AHA approved CPR class must be provided. Must take either Nursing Assistant Training Program or Nursing Assistant Exam Prep Class before applying.

Cost: The cost for this program is $300. The price includes the registration fee, and the tuition for all the classes. Call for details.

120-hour Nursing Assistant Training Program
Locations: Ft. Myers, Gainesville

Class times: Click on the Schedule for available times.

What is covered: This state-approved program prepares students primarily for employment as nursing assistants in nursing homes, although other employment options are available. The successful completion of the 120 clock-hour program prepares students for certification as a Nursing Assistant in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 82-163. Students are also then eligible to take the State of Florida Nursing Assistant Examination for certification. This 120 clock-hour class can be completed over a 5-week period

Cost: The cost for this class is $949. This price includes the registration fee, tuition for all classes, the textbook, the exam registration fee, and a background check. If you have already taken the 40-hour exam prep class, the cost is an additional $470.

Prerequisites: You must have completed the 40 hour Exam Prep Class. You must have CPR certification or be enrolled in a CPR class before registering for this class. You must also have proof of rubella immunity, a physical examination documenting the absence of lifting limitations, and a negative TB test. You cannot even put a deposit down on this class until you provide proof of ALL the prerequisites. Because of these prerequisites, you must apply in person, not online.
