Medical Assistant Classes

The demand for medical assistants is high and climbing. Certified Medical Assistants can expect good pay, averaging $18 per hour or more, and flexible working hours. This 245-clock-hour class is completed online over a 12-week period, with one day of in-person clinicals, taught by an RN. Students will make use of the textbooks and Zoom once a week. You can choose to take this course completely remotely. This class can be taken from any location and is a national certification. Students will be nationally certified through the National Healthcare Association.

This program is designed to provide academic and clinical instruction for medical assistants in clinical settings. Classroom lectures cover the theory, anatomy, and terminology pertaining to each system. Clinical instruction provides hands-on training in the listed procedures verified through a skills check-off system. Students will receive comprehensive instruction in clinical medical assisting. Does not cover the National Certification Exam fee.

Prerequisites

  • Possess a valid government-issued photo identification card
  • Graduate of high school or its equivalent (GED).

Dress Code

Scrubs and closed toe shoes on day of clinical.
